In particular, the overall aim of all of our programs is to promote active learning, where students are putting concepts into action, getting feedback, and making progress by doing, rather than passively ingesting information. We do that through intense personalization — by providing a personal mentor matched to your needs and a structure that supports your learning experience.

Masaka Kids Africana is a community hub providing wrap-around services to children in need throughout Nyendo, in the Masaka region of Uganda. The children’s performances of traditional music and dance capture the hearts of audiences worldwide, and the organization is currently building its capacity, expanding their facilities to house and feed even more young people around the region.

[AC]: “I think the most interesting thing about this is that even participants or listeners who don’t have any musical training show the similar patterns. So in your head, I’m sure you’re not really thinking, ‘How important is that tone?’ You’re giving it a rating based on your gut feeling.”

It’s like having a “personal trainer for your music,” with a series of musical workouts, a whole lot of feedback and support, and the chance to accomplish something you’ll be proud of. Explore Headliners Club today and click here to tell us more about your musical goals. We’d love to help you reach them!

There you have it, you can create huge shoegazing walls of guitar sound without having to strain your back carrying a huge pedal case. Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg, but if you want your guitar tones to be as cold as that iceberg, this is a great place to start. Be creative and mess around, and if you’re ready to start writing, check out my post on finding your shoegaze sound through different chords and tunings. I hope to hear some music from you guys soon! Post your tunes in the comments below.

“No Tears Left To Cry”: There’s so much tonal candy here, we had to have a whole public hearing about it when the song came out: the Kabalevsky-esque interplay between major and minor scales in the melody, the Vsus chord, and these yummy jewels-in-the-necklace add2 chords that make up the main chord-riff. It’s the add2 in the major tonic chord (I) that softens and disguises the tonal change between major and minor, by the way. The intro to this song is really two intros that use chorus material — first as is, then she slows it down from 122 to 100 BPM. Then the second intro is an odd 14 bars long, before we finally get to the verse.

There are two main ways to compose a bass line in today’s hip-hop climate. You can choose a more traditional route by writing and recording a bass guitar or synth bass part, or you can go for a super-low, super-sub bass by using trap-style 808-kick bass lines or other sine wave sounds.

Don’t make the mistake of running a crowdfunding campaign with little or no planning. Take the time to put these 6 things in place, and you’ll succeed.
